Currently, bank clients are exposed to malicious attempts seeking to obtain and misuse their personal data and other banking-related information through fraudulent e-mails and fraudulent web sites.
Therefore, you are urgently recommended to follow the procedures summarized below:
- look out for suspicious emails (even though they might give the impression of coming from reliable sources (even from banks))
- do not respond to any emails requesting the provision of your personal data
- never disclose to anyone the numbers of your accounts, any balances therein, your PIN codes or access PASSWORDS (it is always highly suspicious if any organization or individual requests that you provide your personal data or other sensitive information)
- e-mails should only be opened up if you know the sender (utmost care should be used when opening e-mails with any attachment)
- be very careful when making a click on any hyperlink that might be contained in an e-mail (such hyperlink may not be reliable)
- do not send or enter your personal data or banking-related information to/in uncrypted or unsecure web sites
- at all times make your into the Internet banking exclusively through www.citibank.cz and, always use only such PC terminals at which the security level of SW installation is perfectly known to you.
