The Awards

A "Microentrepreneur of the Year" is identified in each country and recognized for the extraordinary contributions that the microentrepreneur has made to the economic sustainability of their families as well as their communities.

 

In select countries, an additional award for "Most Innovative Microfinance Institution" honors a microfinance institution that has created or implemented an innovative product, delivery mechanism or integrated financial education with product offering.
