Mr. Rodrigo Zorrilla was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Citi Asia Pacific in February 2012.
In his new role, Mr. Zorrilla continues to sit on the Asia Pacific Executive Committee and has oversight of Citi's key businesses in the region, including Securities & Banking, Citi Transaction Services, Citi Markets, Consumer Banking and Private Banking.
Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Zorrilla was Head of Markets for Citi Asia Pacific since February 2010. In that role, he had responsibility in the Asia Pacific region for Trading, Sales and Marketing, Risk Treasury, Structuring and Primary Market Origination of Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities and Equity products.
He was also formerly Head of FICC Asia since October 2007 and Head of AP Corporate Sales and Structuring since March 2002. Prior to these roles in Asia, Mr. Zorrilla was Head of Corporate Sales (EMST) for Latin America (2001-2002), based in New York; Country Treasurer in Venezuela (1997-2000); and Head of Corporate Sales and Structuring in Mexico (1992-1997).
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics, an M.B.A. from ITAM, Mexico, and an Executive Program Diploma from Kellogg at Northwestern University.
