Citi STAPLES easyRewards Business MasterCard

The MasterCard International Network classifies Merchants into one or more Merchant Categories which are in turn identified by Merchant Category Codes.

"Preferred Category Merchants" are Merchants classified to specific Merchant Categories under the STAPLES easyRewards Business Program* where Eligible Account Transactions earn 2% in STAPLES easyRewards.

The current list of Preferred Merchant Categories, as amended or replaced by Citi from time to time includes:

4816	COMPUTER NETWORK-INFORMATION SERVICES
4899	CABLE SATELLITE OTHER PAY TELEVISION RADIO SVCS.
4900	UTLTS – ELCTRC, GAS, HEATING OIL, SANITARY, WATER

Important Note:
It should be noted that Citi Cards Canada is in no way responsible for the Merchant Categories under which any Merchant is classified. This is up to the Merchant and MasterCard International. It is therefore the responsibility of the Citi STAPLES easyRewards Business MasterCard Cardmember to verify with any Merchant before purchase the Merchant Category to which that Merchant is classified. If a Merchant is not classified to a Preferred Merchant Category above, any Eligible Account Transaction at that Merchant (that is not otherwise specified in the STAPLES easyRewards Business Program Rules) will earn STAPLES easyRewards at the standard rate of 1%.

• Citi administers the STAPLES easyRewards Business Program under which the Primary Cardmember may earn and redeem STAPLES easyRewards for available redemption awards. The earning and redemption of STAPLES easyRewards for available redemption awards under the STAPLES easyRewards Business Program is governed by the terms and conditions of the Citi STAPLES easyRewards Business MasterCard Program Rules which are found by following the Program Rules.

The use of a redemption award is governed by the terms and conditions that apply to the redemption award and are disclosed by the provider of that redemption award to the Primary Cardmember at the time the redemption award is selected by the Primary Cardmember as a redemption award under the Citi STAPLES easyRewards Business MasterCard Program Rules.
